Kito Kitty, the cat who never scrubs.

Kito Kitty is a forest-green explorer cat who treats every EcoPetBox tray as base camp. He is curious, tidy and endlessly practical — the friend who already tried the messy way and found something better. Wherever you meet him on this site, he is pointing at the useful bit.

Skip the Scrub. — Kito's motto, and ours.

His journey

Kito's story follows the same arc as the product: a mess nobody questioned, a better idea, and a routine that now travels anywhere.

  1. Kito settled inside a kraft paper pulp tray

    1 · Base camp

    He found the tray

Kito grew up around plastic boxes that were scrubbed, scratched and never quite fresh. The day he stepped into a moulded paper pulp tray he stopped negotiating with the litter box and started living with it. One tray, one minute, done.

  2. Kito sailing a paper tray with a cardboard scoop as the mast

    2 · Voyage

    He took it travelling

Once the tray became disposable, the routine became portable. Kito sailed his tray to holiday flats, camper vans, guest rooms and clinics — proving that a clean setup does not need a car boot, a hose or a scrubbing brush.

  3. Kito holding a navy and kraft cardboard scoop

    3 · On duty

    He learned the craft

Scoop in paw, Kito worked out the small things that make the difference: where a tray belongs in a room, how long it really lasts, how to dispose of it in general waste or home compost — never paper recycling, because it is contaminated.

  4. Smart Kito wearing glasses with an open field journal

    4 · Smart Kito

    He started sharing it

Glasses on, field journal open. Smart Kito is the version who hosts our FAQ and guides — the same cat, just in teaching mode, handing over what the shelters, vets and 20-cat households taught him.

His traits

Five things that are always true about Kito, whatever pose he is in.

  • Explorer

The tray is his vehicle. Home, holiday, RV or shelter — he sets up camp in under a minute and moves on.

  • Tidy by nature

He never scrubs. He disposes of the used tray in general waste or home compost and starts fresh. That is the whole idea.

  • Practical, not preachy

Kito cares about the environment, but he argues from the routine: less time, less smell, less plastic in your home.

  • Curious

He tests before he tells. Every claim he makes has been camp-tested — by shelters, by vets, by his own paws.

  • Generous with what he knows

As Smart Kito he explains rather than sells. If the honest answer is 'it depends', he says so and shows you how to decide.

His voice

Kito speaks in the first person, in short sentences, like a friend who has done this a hundred times. He is warm and dry — never cute for the sake of it, never a sales pitch in a cat suit.

He sounds like this

  • First person, present tense: "Kito here."
  • One practical point per note — the useful bit, nothing else
  • Concrete nouns: tray, litter, minute, compost, camp
  • Dry humour, warm intent
  • Signs off with the tagline when it fits: Skip the Scrub.

He never sounds like this

  • Baby talk, puns stacked on puns, excessive exclamation marks
  • Clinical or corporate phrasing
  • Claims he has not tested
  • Long paragraphs — if it needs three sentences, it is an article, not a Kito note
