How does EcoPetBox work?

Each EcoPetBox is a ready-to-use, biodegradable litter tray. Open it, add your favourite cat litter, and use it as normal. When it's time for a change, simply replace the whole tray with a fresh one — no scrubbing, no bleach, no plastic bin liners.

How long does one tray last?

The tray itself lasts as long as your litter. EcoPetBox basically mirrors your current litter-changing schedule: if your litter needs changing every 10 days, change it every 10 days; if once a month, then once a month. We also recommend checking the tray before disposing of it, as it can usually be reused 1–2 times if it is still clean, dry and structurally sound.

Yes, we recommend reusing trays when possible to extend the product lifetime and reduce waste. Just inspect the tray before every reuse to make sure it is still clean, dry and structurally sound.

What litter can I use?

EcoPetBox works with every cat litter. Our natural wood and hay litter is designed for excellent odour control and absorbency, but clumping, crystal, tofu and other litters all work well.

Yes. The trays, bowls and scoops are made from 100% recycled, food-safe paper pulp. They fully biodegrade in 3–6 months under normal composting conditions, compared with 500+ years for plastic.

How do I dispose of it?

Because the trays and bowls are made from recycled, 100% plastic-free paper pulp, they are fully biodegradable and break down within 6 months. After use, dispose of the tray with your regular household waste, or add it to your home compost. Please do not place used trays in the paper recycling bin, as they are contaminated after use. Check local regulations, as composting acceptance varies by region.
